(Reuters) - The electric utility holding company credited the higher profit to performance at FortisAlberta, Belize Electricity and Fortis Turks and Caicos as well as increased hydroelectric production in Belize.
Fortis had a profit of C$41.5 million , or 35 Canadian cents a diluted share, for the period ended March 31, up from a profit C$36.6 million, or 34 Canadian cents a diluted share in the same period last year.
