(Reuters) - With the presidential vote three days away and aircraft workers staging regular wildcat strikes over job cuts, Paris has blocked German calls for a payout to investors that unions say might rekindle mass protests seen earlier in the campaign.
Industry sources said the Franco-German rift -- the latest in a series of cross-border differences also blamed for delays to the A380 superjumbo -- showed no signs of easing ahead of a board and shareholder meeting in Amsterdam on Friday.
