Saudi Arabia's Tadawul Advances, Paced by Saudi Basic: Persian Gulf Stocks

(Bloomberg) -- Saudi shares rose for a second
consecutive trading session, to their highest in a week, led by
Saudi Basic Industries Corp.

The Tadawul All Share Index rose 89.75 points, or 1.2
percent, to 7452.71 in Riyadh, the highest compared with closing
prices since May 30. The benchmark has dropped 6.1 percent this
year, the sixth-worst performing index among 90 tracked worldwide
by Bloomberg.

Endo drug a promising menstrual migraine preventer

(Reuters) - Taken once or twice daily for six days beginning two days
before the start of a woman's menstrual period, the drug
significantly increased the number of headache-free periods
compared with women who received a placebo, researchers said.




Frova also significantly reduced the incidence of severe
migraines, according to data from the 410-patient study,
presented at the American Headache Society annual meeting in
Chicago on Saturday.

Dubai steel futures launch delayed to after summer

(Reuters) - The exchange had said it would launch the internationally tradeable steel futures contract on June 27. The DGCX has repeatedly delayed plans to launch.




"The overwhelming requests to delay the launch to enable all players to actively take part have forced us to revise our start date," David Rutledge, a director at DGCX said in the statement.

China says Jan-May trade surplus $85.72 bln

(Reuters) - The figures indicated that China's trade surplus in May was $22.41 billion, exceeding forecasts of $18.8 billion by economists polled by Reuters.




April's trade surplus was $16.9 billion, taking the figure in the first four months of the year to $63.31 billion.
