(Reuters) - Kennedy, a Massachusetts Democrat, said an inquiry by his staff into connections between lending firms and university financial aid officers has revealed a "pattern of back-room dealing that has no place in financing higher education."
Expanding on questions already being asking by others about ties between lenders and financial aid officers, Kennedy is asking for a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation.
