(Reuters) - STOCKHOLM, April 20 - Sony Ericsson, world number four mobile phone maker, posted first-quarter pretax earnings below market expectations on Friday and said it had captured market share by selling more lower-priced phones.
The sales of such phones, which mark an expansion away from its previous concentration on the high end of the market, took its average selling price down, although the group said it had maintained profitability via cost controls.
