Orlen Says First Quarter Gasoline Sales Rise on Low-Cost Polish Stations

(Bloomberg) -- PKN Orlen SA, Poland's largest oil refiner, said it increased gasoline sales to motorists in the first quarter after expanding its Bliska network of low-cost filling stations.

``In comparison to the first quarter of last year, the volume of fuel sold rose,'' Deputy Chief Executive Officer Wojciech Heydel said on the sidelines of a retail gala in Warsaw yesterday. ``We grew faster than the market, as we opened new Bliska stations. The Verva fuel sells very well.''
