(Reuters) - TPG became a shareholder in mobile phone firm mobilcom in 2005, before mobilcom's recent merger with its Internet arm freenet.de that formed the current company, freenet.
TPG said it was selling its stake of 12.45 percent and TPG-Axon was at the same time selling its 6.22-percent stake.
