US STOCKS-Indexes pare gains after news from home lender

(Reuters) - The Dow Jones industrial average was up 33.73
points, or 0.25 percent, at 13,392.04. The Standard & Poor's
500 Index was up 3.38 points, or 0.23 percent, at
1,477.29. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 2.86
points, or 0.11 percent, at 2,580.42.

US STOCKS-Wall St trims gains, Nasdaq dips

(Reuters) - A rise in oil prices to a 12-month high also added to
nervousness.




The Dow Jones industrial average was up 47.63

European Government Bonds Drop as Stock Rally Eases Demand for Safe Assets

(Bloomberg) -- European bonds fell, snapping the
steepest rally in two months yesterday, as gains in global stock
markets eroded demand for the safety of fixed-income assets.

Debt's decline sent 10-year yields up from near a three-week
low after the Nasdaq Composite Index of shares closed at a six-
year high. Equity indexes in Asia and Europe also rose as
speculation weakness in the U.S. subprime mortgage market will
curb global growth eased, and as concerns spurred by terrorist
plots in the U.K. last weekend waned.

U.S. Stocks Erase Gain; Financial Shares Lead Retreat on Subprime Concern

(Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks declined, erasing a
rally, after financial shares tumbled on speculation losses will
worsen on loans tied to subprime mortgages.

The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 5.1, or 0.3 percent,
to 1497.46 at 2:46 p.m. in New York. Earlier, the gauge rose 0.8
percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 19.68, or 0.2
percent, to 13,340.58. The Nasdaq Composite Index declined 12.6,
or 0.5 percent, to 2576.36.
