(Reuters) - Nippon Steel Corp. and JFE Holdings Inc. rose following a report that Japan's top two steelmakers will likely book record profits for the year to March.
Some strong U.S. earnings results prompted investors to bet that earnings here may also exceed forecasts, said Hideyuki Suzuki, an investment information manager at SBI Securities.
