Sweden's Oskarshamn-3 Nuclear Reactor Start Delayed; No New Date Is Given

(Bloomberg) -- E.ON AG, Germany's biggest utility,
said the resumption of production has been delayed at its
Oskarshamn-3 nuclear reactor in Sweden, which was halted on July
8 following the discovery of a faulty valve.

The 1,150-megawatt unit will be halted for an unspecified
amount of time, the company said in a message distributed by the
Nord Pool ASA power exchange.

European Stocks Pare Advance as Shares of Unilever and E.ON Decline

(Bloomberg) -- European pared gains, as Unilever NV
and E.ON AG declined.

The Dow Jones Stoxx 600 Index increased less than 0.1
percent to 394.99 at 8:529 a.m. in London after rising as much as
0.3 percent earlier. The Stoxx 50 and the Euro Stoxx 50, a
measure for the 13 nations sharing the euro, both added 0.1
percent.

European Stocks Post Biggest Drop in Two Months on Interest-Rate Concern

(Bloomberg) -- European stocks posted the biggest
decline in more than two months on expectations the European
Central Bank will keep raising interest rates.

E.ON AG and Iberdrola SA led a drop by utilities, while BNP
Paribas SA and Spain's Banco Popular Espanol SA pushed banking
shares lower. Thales SA, Europe's largest defense-electronics
company, fell after Societe Generale SA downgraded the stock.

European Stocks Drop on Interest-Rate Concern; E.ON, Thales Shares Fall

(Bloomberg) -- European stocks declined for a third
day on expectations the European Central Bank will raise interest
rates today and signal further increases.

E.ON AG and Iberdrola SA led a drop by utilities, among
companies most sensitive to shifts in borrowing costs. Thales SA
fell after Societe Generale SA downgraded the stock.

European Stocks Climb to 6 1/2-Year High; Nokia, BHP, E.ON Pace the Gains

(Bloomberg) -- European stocks rallied, sending the
Dow Jones Stoxx 600 Index to the highest since September 2000,
after E.ON AG said it will buy back $9.4 billion in shares and
Belgian billionaire Albert Frere bought a stake in Iberdrola SA.

E.ON and Iberdrola led utility shares to an all-time high.
Scottish & Southern Energy Plc rose after earnings beat analysts'
estimates. ASML Holding NV climbed the most in six weeks on plans
to pay cash to shareholders. BHP Billiton Ltd. paced a rebound in
mining stocks as copper advanced and the company named a new
chief executive officer.
