(Reuters) - STOCKHOLM, July 16 - Compressor and machinery maker Atlas Copco reported better-than-expected quarterly pretax earnings on Monday and said it would invest in manufacturing capacity to meet strong demand.
The Sweden-based firm posted record pretax earnings of 3.22 billion Swedish crowns , compared with a year-ago 2.20 billion crowns and a mean forecast of 2.88 billion in a Reuters poll of analysts.
