Coffee Rises Most in Seven Weeks in New York on Weakening of U.S. Dollar

(Bloomberg) -- Coffee rose the most in seven weeks
in New York as the weakening U.S. dollar made futures more
affordable to buyers holding other currencies.

The dollar today touched $1.3852 against the euro, a record
low. The New York Board of Trade's dollar index, a gauge of the
currency's international value, fell to the lowest since
September 1992.

Coffee Little Changed as Dry Weather Reduces Threat of Frost in Brazil

(Bloomberg) -- Coffee was little changed in New York
as forecasts for dry weather eased concerns that frost would
damage the crop in Brazil, the world's largest producer.

Temperatures in Brazil's coffee-growing areas are expected
to be near to above normal, with lows in the middle 50 degrees
Fahrenheit (13 degrees Celsius), according to Meteorlogix LLC in
Woburn, Massachusetts. A ridge of high pressure over northern
Argentina is expected to move across southern Brazil this week,

Coffee Climbs to One-Week High on Shrinking Inventories in U.S., Vietnam

(Bloomberg) -- Coffee rose to a one-week high in
New York as shrinking inventories in the U.S. and Vietnam, the
world's second-largest producer, revived speculation that demand
will exceed output this year.

Stockpiles of raw, unroasted coffee in the U.S. fell by
92,242 bags, or 1.6 percent, to 5.68 million bags in May from
April, the first decline this year, the New York-based Green
Coffee Association said June 15. Tight supplies of robusta
coffee from Vietnam, the biggest producer of that variety, have
pushed futures traded in London to the highest since 1998.
