UPDATE 1-GMAC renews $20 billion in bank facilities

(Reuters) - "The facilities are a key part of our strong liquidity
profile and will provide additional financial flexibility to
the companies," GMAC Chief Financial Officer Sanjiv Khattri
said in a statement.




The renewal comes at a time when GMAC has been hurting from
ResCap's exposure to the subprime mortgage market.

WRAPUP 1-Chile's economy holds strong, prices rise

(Reuters) - Chile's economic activity index, the IMACEC, rose 6.6
percent in April compared with a year earlier, maintaining this
year's strong growth after 6.6 percent growth in March, the
central bank said on Tuesday.




Also on Tuesday, the National Statistics Institute said the
consumer price index rose 0.6 percent in May, equal to the 0.6
percent in April, mostly amid rising transport and food costs.

UPDATE 1-UAW says Delphi talks continue, no timeline

(Reuters) - MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich., May 31 - The United Auto
Workers union remains in talks with parts supplier Delphi Corp.
on the terms for a labor agreement that would allow
the company to emerge from bankruptcy, UAW President Ron
Gettelfinger said on Thursday.




Gettelfinger declined to say whether the two sides had
moved any closer after the UAW submitted a counter-proposal to
Delphi and its former parent, General Motors Corp.
